It has been a sensational topic that the AKB48's new face, Aimi Eguchi was a computer graphic character. Atsuko Maeda disclosed the actual time it took to produce her.
Aimi Eguchi came out sensationally to the public in the commercial by Ezaki Glico's 'Ice no Mi', appearing in the center over the head of Atsuko Maeda who won the AKB48 election this year. It is now revealed in the website of Ezaki Glico that the new AKB member is in fact a computer graphic character using different parts of AKB members. Eguchi was composed of the nose of Tomomi Itano, hair of Yuko Oshima, face line of Minami Takahashi, mouth of Mariko Shinoda, eyebrows of Mayu Watanabe, and eyes of Atsuko Maeda.
Atsuko Maeda mentioned about Aimi Eguchi in her blog on June 21. She revealed that Eguchi's eyes are in fact hers, and she was surprised by the high quality of the computer graphics. She also disclosed that it took each member a whole day, a total of 6 days to shoot pictures of themselves.
When you actually see the commercial, it is almost impossible to know whether it is a real person or computer graphic. Thereis also an 'AKB48 Oshi-men maker', but it is not a movie and itjust makes a new face using selected pictures, so it is not as complicated.
