“Message from Studio Ghibli”
On the rooftop of Studio Ghibli at Koganei-shi, Tokyo, there is an illustrated banner which says “Studio Ghibli Wish to Make Film with Electricity without Nuclear”.
In no time, the news of this banner has spread on the Internet by BBS, Twitter etc. The director Miyazaki Hayao told that it doesn’t have an offensive intention; the detail about it is fully written in the booklet “Neppuu (Hot Wind)”.
This time, accidents caused lively discussion about nuclear plant; however, its structure is apt to be viewed as “nuclear VS anti-nuclear” before everything.
But, there are few introduction of discussions questioning the state of “nuclear plant” itself and electricity supply, understanding the situation of those who are actually working on the spot.
The director also expressed his appreciation to those who are working on the spot.
There are loads of messy problems now; what a question is the message on Studio Ghibli’s banner asking?
